We mostly build 4, 5, and 6 string pickups as shown all over our website, but we can do custom pickups like these as well. Feel free to contact us or your local dealer for pickups similar to these.

It has been some time since the last update! From here on out, our news should be more regular, as we have a bit of work to do cleaning up our space on the web! Please bear with us during this transition phase if any internet issues come up, and always feel free to call or email us.
We recently moved to a new shop in Redlands, just down the way from our old one in Yucaipa. Slightly bigger space, but with a much better layout than before. Most of the moving dust has cleared and we are just about back to our regular production schedule.
This website is in store for a pretty decent size update, including a lot of long overdue wiring diagrams that are now ready to go! There are also a handful of products that have been out for awhile that are not yet shown here, including the NM4 Mustang® replacement pickup and 2B-MM preamp.
Speaking of the 2B-MM preamp, it was released a few months ago. This is a reproduction of an early Music Man®-type 2-band preamp that matches up quite well to our MM line of pickups, and other applications. Available for purchase from any of our dealers now.
The outboard 3B preamp is currently in its final prototype stages, if we don't have the production version ready to go for NAMM in January it will be out shortly afterward. Early opinions have been full of praise, if you're near our shop please come by and check it out!
Another prototype nearing the final stages is our humcancelling Strat® pickups, which are quite promising! Here is a video of an early version, listen at the end to how silent the pickups are:

* We've started shipping new and improved versions of both the Big Split 5 and NJ5s pickups. These pickups now have a more even string to string balance and much better hum cancelling properties.
* We are working on a replacement pickup for the Fender Mustang bass. Look for these to be available at your favorite dealer soon.
* We've added several high profile players to our players page. Be sure to check out who's using Nordstrand Pickups!

There are 6 different configuations: 3B - 3 band bass preamp with 3 eq pots. 3B-5a - PREWIRED - 3 band bass preamp with volume (pull passive), blend, treble, mid (pull frequency switch), and bass 3B-5b - PREWIRED - 3 band bass preamp with volume (pull passive), blend, tone, push pull frequency selector on mid, and treble/bass stack 3B-4a - PREWIRED - 3 band bass preamp with volume/volume stack, tone (pull passive), mid (pull frequency switch), and treble/bass stack 3B-4b - PREWIRED - 3 band bass preamp with volume/tone stack, blend, mid (pull frequency switch), and treble/bass stack 3B-3 - PREWIRED - 3 band bass preamp with volume (pull passive), mid (pull frequency switch), and treble/bass stack 3b preamp specs:
We stock capacitors for the even numbered frequencies and will include one set with each preamp for a second frequency of your choice. Battery life is estimated to be around 180 hours for an alkaline 9v. Adding a battery to make it 18v will give more headroom and longer life.
